Initial discussions with Ratho Adventure Centre were for roof repairs.
After consultation the project resulted in a major rigging and fabric replacement program.
We built the new ridge panels using silicone coated glass fabric to allow good light transmission and life span. This fabric should give them 25 years if maintained properly, the key being to ensure that the panels remain rigid. Our design and tension system for the ridge panels allows for this and the finished job looks great. Not to mention the arena is now watertight!
In the end, the ‘repair’ job resulted in some 300m of walkways being installed, 2500 sq.m of silicone coated glass fabric, 140 replacement tension cables with another 280 being retensioned, all done from harness and rope 100ft off the ground!
